About Us

Action Ireland Trust is a registered Charity that provides skills exchange programs in Education, Healthcare, Information Technology, Planning and Development, Construction,  Agriculture, Sport and Recreation.

Action Ireland Trust sends four missions to Lesotho annually with over 100 volunteers and students committing to our projects every year.  Since 2006 over 1400 volunteers have completed a wide range of projects in the Eastern Cape and Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa and throughout Lesotho.  Currently in Lesotho we have renovated a hospital at Roma, extended the High School at Ha Hlalele and completed a prototype of an Early Childhood Centre in association with UNICEF.  At Ha Hlalele we bored a well and now provide clean water to the village and school together with clean toilet facilities.

Through our mapping project, we have now mapped the entire country which will lead an improved planning system in association with Fingal County Council.

Our Mission

Action Ireland Trust mission is to work with communities in developing countries to empower people to improve their lives, enhance health and education, end hunger and overcome the adverse effects of poverty.  We believe the principle of self-help is fundamental to any activity and our vision is to ‘change the future’ of communities by creating opportunities for people to experience and benefit from a wide range of skill-sharing programmes.
