May 9th, 2015 - Mapathon at Loreto Stephen's Green

On Saturday May 9th Action Ireland Trust and Students from Portmarnock CS with the support of Ciaran Staunton and Dave Corley from Fingal CC will host a mapathon in Loreto Stephen’s Green for some 10 Loreto Dublin schools. The objective is to create a platform for the creation of aa new humanitarian mapping project #MapRumbek. In September we will invite 50 Loreto schools from all over Ireland and launch #MapRumbek. The Loreto sisters have a major mission in Rumbek in Southern Sudan, the success of #MapLesotho will be demonstrated to students from Dublin Loreto Schools who will become peer educators for #MapRumbek in September.

May/June - Race Night

We will be running a race night in May / June and Paddy White will be hosting the event he is looking for volunteers to help and can be reached at paddy.j.whyte@aib.ie

May 6th, 2015 - Young Social Innovators

On Wednesday May 6th Portmarnock CS students will compete in the final of Young Social Innovators with their humanitarian mapping project #MapLesotho so why not tweet a message of support. This event will take place in Dublin City West Event Centre. It is the biggest show case of young people social initiatives local and global. #MapLesotho has been short listed and are confident to come home with another success story.

May 13th, 2015 - The Mansion House Dublin

On Wednesday May13 Portmarmnock CS students take their project #MapLesotho to the finals of Eco Unesco in The Mansion House Dublin, again they are short listed and we wish them well as they compete in “The local To Global Category”.

This Campaign has ended. No more pledges can be made.
